The seafood with Global GAP standard will make customers more secure when using it”
Mr Nicolas Privet, the director in charge of quality and project of Vietnam Anova Food company said that in the workshop “ enhance capacity in raising and processing seafood by international management standards Global GAP and ISO 22000” for companies and enterprises raising, processing seafood in the Mekong Delta, organized by Vietnam Veritas in Can Tho city on January 8th .
Now, the need of Europe, Japan, America…for Vietnam seafood is tending to reduce and the customers are hard to please. According to Nicolas Privest’s comment, the customers in Europe want to know clearly the origin of seafood such as what feed the fishes ate, how nutrious value, pepper and salt content on finished fishes, the condition of environment when producing, how many day off for workers, whether children under the labor age join to producing or not?...
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Khoa, director of business development in Vietnam Bureau Veritas company has the same idea. “ With this workshop, we popularize the requirements with international standard for enterprises operating in fishery, help them change the perception to build the system with Global GAP standard for all markets. Mr Khoa said.
Mr Khoa added, in next time, Vietnam Bureau Veritas company will develop this standard for seafood process enterprises at industrial zones
The Global GAP is the private standard applied freely in certificate for agricultural products on over the world. The target of Global GAP is establishing a standard of good agricultural products with many various products. The Global GAP is now present in 140 countries, issued over 60.000 certificates on over the world, in which, more than 1.500 certificate issued for enterprises in Vietnam.
